Several intraocular lens companies are conducting FDA clinical trials on intraocular lenses (ICL) which are intended to be implanted without removing the native lens. This gives the added benefit to patients under 40 of retaining their ability to read without the need for reading glasses. As with all types of refractive surgery, any one patient’s individual needs are best determined by a physician only after a thorough eye exam and discussion of the patient’s lifestyle.
At Mississippi Vision Correction Center, we are committed to ensuring that each patient has the opportunity to learn from our doctors whether or not he or she is a good refractive surgery candidate, and if so, what type of procedure will best suit his or her needs. This is best accomplished by making an appointment for a complete ocular exam and consultation.
